The association shared experiences from schools that have turned PISA for Schools results into evidence-based educational improvement projects.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) hosted the international conference “Connecting for Impact: The PISA for Schools Exchange, ” an initiative that brought together professionals and schools from various countries to share experiences on the use of assessment as a driver of educational improvement.
The association was invited to participate in the panel discussion “What Schools Do Next: Using Results to Guide Change, ” moderated by the Dr. Elena Govorova , director of PISA for Schools at the OECD. The session addressed how schools use the results from PISA for Schools to guide their improvement processes and bring about changes that have an impact on student learning.
On behalf of the school network, Elena Cid, the association’s executive director, presented various initiatives developed following the receipt and analysis of the PISA reports. Her remarks highlighted how assessment can become a strategic tool for driving innovation, pedagogical reflection, and evidence-based decision-making.
The shared experiences demonstrated how the schools have transformed the results they obtained into concrete improvement measures, tailored to their needs and contexts, with the goal of continuing to advance educational quality and the holistic development of their students.
The presentation included projects spearheaded by:
- Agora Lledó International School
- Alameda International School
- Arcángel International School
- Mirabal International School
- The English Center
- SEK International Schools
- St. Peter’s School Barcelona
- Virgen de Europa School
On behalf of the association, we would like to thank these schools for their generosity and commitment in sharing their experiences and best practices, which have made it possible to showcase to an international audience real-world examples of how PISA for Schools results can be turned into opportunities for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Participation in this international forum provides an opportunity to highlight the work that schools are doing in the areas of educational assessment and improvement, as well as to contribute to the global exchange of knowledge and experiences among institutions committed to educational excellence.
