Better management also means having more time. For teams at CICAE centers, reducing manual tasks, simplifying checks, and having access to reliable information allows them to focus their efforts on the responsibilities where their expertise adds the most value. With this goal in mind, Alexia is incorporating artificial intelligence into real-world management processes that are already part of the centers’ daily operations.
Because AI is changing our relationship with software. After years of digitizing processes and automating tasks, we are entering a phase in which platforms can better understand context, guide users, detect issues, generate suggestions, and collaborate with people.
This development is already a reality in Alexia Educational Suite.
AlexIA as part of the center's processes
AlexIA is the intelligence layer integrated into the Alexia Educational Suite. It does not function as a standalone tool or as a chat feature added to the product: it appears within the processes where it can add value and uses the context of educational management to assist the user.
One of its capabilities is to review. AlexIA automatically performs checks on more than 150 processes to detect potential inconsistencies before particularly critical moments, such as evaluations, the end of the academic year, the generation of official documentation, or certain administrative processes.
You can review information related to students and families, assessments, or AEAT forms, among other things. Tasks that used to require hours of manual work are now completed much more efficiently, helping teams anticipate potential issues and work with greater peace of mind.
AlexIA understands, too. Users can ask it questions in natural language to get answers to their questions and receive guidance on how to use the platform, without having to navigate through menus, manuals, or different screens.
And now it also includes the ability to create. Generative AI helps draft and improve communications for families, prepare assessment comments, generate rubrics, summarize information, translate content, or adapt a text to a specific situation.
AlexIA continues to evolve toward greater analytical capabilities, making it easier to interpret data and indicators and progressively helping to transform available information into useful knowledge for decision-making—from teachers to the administrative team.
An AI that understands that every school is different
We know that every school has its own identity, educational mission, and unique way of engaging with its community. That uniqueness is especially important at CICAE schools and must also be reflected when they use artificial intelligence.
That is why AlexIA allows you to define the school’s context so that its recommendations take these references into account. A communication, rubric, or observation is not based solely on a specific instruction: they can be developed in accordance with the criteria defined by the school itself and promote greater consistency among the various professionals.
Technology is tailored to the school’s educational mission, not the other way around.
A journey driven by knowledge and trust
Many CICAE centers have been working with Alexia for years. That shared understanding of its reality is also the starting point from which we are approaching this new evolution of the platform.
That knowledge not only helps us identify where AI can add value, but also determine how it should be integrated to build trust.
In an educational setting, utility must go hand in hand with security, privacy, ethics, and human oversight. AI can review, guide, suggest, or generate; people continue to validate the results and maintain control over key decisions.
We’re not looking for the most spectacular AI. We’re looking for the most useful and reliable AI for an educational institution.
Leading the way in AI means deciding how to incorporate it
For a management team, the challenge isn’t simply deciding whether their organization will use artificial intelligence. It’s determining what they want to use it for, which processes are worth transforming, what criteria they should use to do so, and what limits they want to set.
Leading this evolution requires combining innovation with governance, security, training, and the ability to assess whether the technology is truly generating value.
In this regard, Educaria’s experience is not limited to developing AlexIA. As an organization, we are going through that same process of adoption and learning.
Artificial intelligence is being integrated across the board into product development, operations, software engineering, and business intelligence.
All of this is built around elements that are essential for sustainable adoption: specialized talent, governance, privacy and security, training, the right tools, and impact measurement. This technological capability is combined with more than 60 years of expertise in the education sector and an understanding of how educational organizations truly operate.
Because successfully integrating AI isn’t about chasing every new technological development. It requires industry knowledge, technical expertise, and, above all, the judgment to decide where it can generate real value.
