SEK International School Alboran

SEK International School Alborán is part of the SEK Education Group, an institution with more than 130 years of experience and 11 schools in the world whose origins stem from a century-old family tradition, free and autonomous, committed to the development of quality education. SEK International School Alboran in Almería, founded in 1999, bilingual -Spanish-English- and private, is located in Urbanización de Almerimar in the town of El Ejido.

The only educational center in the province authorized to teach the continuum of the 3 Programs of the International Baccalaureate Organization® and integrated into the national curriculum. It has an area of 28,000 m2 that includes individual buildings suitable for each educational stage, an indoor sports pavilion, athletics tracks, indoor soccer, basketball, laboratories, library, heated swimming pool, canteen service with its own kitchen, school route service, nursing services, kindergarten and morning class.

In line with its commitment to International Education, it has an Exchange Program with IB World schools located in France, Italy, Germany, England and the United States; its students participate in Model United Nations (MUN) with sites in Madrid, Rome, Oxford, Hamburg and Baden-Baden; Comenius Projects; and it has a Center Solidarity Project with which it collaborates at an international level – Siyakula School in South Africa and ACOES Schools in Honduras -, at a national level with associations such as Banco de Alimentos de España and Cruz Roja and at a local level it helps with educational initiatives to associations such as ARGAR Niños con Cáncer, AXDIAL Niños con dislexia, ECOEMBES or Koopera Almería.
