Neurodevelopmental and learning disorders

On March 31 at 3:00pm, we will hold a new CICAEOrienta online session on Neurodevelopmental and learning disorders: “I have a student with ADD/ADHD, how can I help them.”


We will have input from three guidance teams from Escuela IDEO, SEK Ciudalcampo and Virgen de Europa, specialists in ADD/ADHD at their schools.

Escuela IDEO – María Puertas

  • What is ADHD? What are executive functions?
  • Classroom adjustments and resources
  • Being mindful of the language we use


SEK Ciudalcampo – Sofia Gigliani – ADHD from the early years through graduation

  • Warning signs in Primary
  • Identification and family-school communication
  • Internal – external assessment
  • Internal adjustments and external treatment
  • Progress of adjustments in Secondary and follow-up with outside centers and families
  • Needs in Bachillerato and academic success

Virgen de Europa – María Carrasco

  • Follow-up pathways for students with an ADD diagnosis
  • Internal identification at the school
  • External identification and support for students within the school
  • Interdisciplinary communication: supporting from within the classroom
