In-person CICAEOrienta gathering: “Growing with Wellbeing: mental health in childhood and adolescence.”
January 17, 2024
Schedule: From 9:30am to 6:00pm.
Location: Campus Castellana of Universidad Camilo José Cela (C. de Juan Hurtado de Mendoza, 4, Chamartín, 28036 Madrid)
The rise in mental health problems among children and adolescents is the result of a combination of social, technological, family and environmental factors.
While some of these trends may have existed to a lesser extent in the past, the rapid changes in modern society have intensified these factors.
Addressing this problem requires a comprehensive approach, including emotional and psychological support, promoting resilience, emotional education and social policies that support young people’s wellbeing.
Expert speakers on Mental Health:
To explore and discuss these topics in depth, we will be joined by experts in the field such as Montserrat Graell (Head of the Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology Department at Hospital Universitario Infantil Niño Jesús), Marc Masip (Psychologist and expert in technology addiction, author of the book “Desconecta”), Juan Antonio Planas (President of the Aragonese Association of Psychopedagogy), Ana Cobos (PhD in Psychopedagogy and President of COPOE), Mireia Orgilés (Professor of Child Psychological Treatment at UMH) and Ruth Castillo Gualda (PhD in Psychology, Professor at UCJC).
