On March 18, 2025, the 3rd Online Session of the IB Learning Communities for International Baccalaureate Coordinators and Teachers will take place.
In three parallel sessions (PYP, MYP and Diploma Programme) we will dive deeper into:
“Thinking strategies and culture to improve students’ critical thinking” – Session led by Curro Villar (Colegio Yago School)

• Dimensions of a thinking culture.
• hinking in the classroom: thinking skills and strategies.
• Application within the IB Framework (PYP-MYP-DP).
“Summative assessment in the MYP” – Session led by Patricia Soria (St. Peter’s School)
• Defining summative assessment and examples of activities by global contexts at St. Peter’s
• Creating summative activities with AI.
• Creating rubrics to grade summative activities with AI.
• Creating a summative activity per subject group.
“IB vs National comparison – arguments for choosing IB / University access” – Session led by Cristina Muñoz (Colegio Británico de Aragón)
• The DP as a bet on the future.
• Guidance for 4th year ESO students.
• Attracting new students to the DP
• Advantages and difficulties of the National Bachillerato compared to the International Baccalaureate.
The main objective of CICAE’s Learning Communities is to share interests, resources, difficulties and best practices among teachers in order to collaborate in their training process and professional growth in the field of the International Baccalaureate.
