On November 25, 2025, a new online session of the IB Learning Communities will take place for Coordinators and Teachers of the International Baccalaureate at CICAE member schools.
On this occasion, two parallel sessions will be held focused on key topics to ensure continuity and depth in IB implementation:
Transitioning from PYP to MYP – Session led by Sergio Sánchez (Alameda International School)
- Effective strategies to ensure a smooth transition between programs
- Concrete practices for emotional and academic support
- Collaborative tools between stages
- Real experiences and shared best practices
Motivation in the Diploma Programme Extended Essay – Session led by Elena Tobes (Colegio Virgen de Europa)
- How to help students choose topics with meaning and genuine personal connection
- The teacher’s role as an inspiring guide and effective mentor
- Practical strategies to sustain motivation throughout the process
- Fostering a culture that values both the process and the final product
The CICAE Learning Communities have as their main goal sharing interests, resources, challenges, and best practices among IB teachers, to strengthen collaboration and professional development across the different International Baccalaureate programs.
