Yesterday, Mr. José Antonio Rois, president of CICAE; Josep María Ginjaume, treasurer of the Board of Directors; and David Bauza, representing the vice president, held a working meeting with Toni Aguilar, director general of Subsidized and Private Schools for the Government of Catalonia.
During the meeting, CICAE conveyed the main concerns of the independent private education sector in Catalonia, including organizational autonomy, the possible reduction of student-teacher ratios, administrative streamlining, and the need to ensure fair competition among the various educational networks. Likewise, the need to ensure compliance with regulations regarding tuition fees in the state-subsidized private school system was raised.
CICAE appreciates Toni Aguilar’s willingness to engage in dialogue and continues to work to strengthen the representation of independent private education before educational authorities.
