10th CICAE Sports Games

The CICAE Sports Games are the Association’s great celebration of sport and one of the most representative gatherings of the CICAE educational community. Every year, this initiative brings together students and teachers from different schools for a day centred on sport, togetherness and shared values.

Aimed at students in Years 5 and 6 of Primary School, the Games involve the participation of 1,200 students from schools in the Community of Madrid, establishing themselves as a meeting point between schools and an experience particularly valued by the whole school community.

The CICAE Sports Games retain a clearly educational, non-competitive spirit. Through disciplines such as athletics, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, kickball, tchoukball and dodgeball, students develop skills such as teamwork, companionship, respect, inclusion and personal growth. Beyond the results, the main aim is to foster shared experiences and strengthen the bonds between students and schools.

The involvement of the participating schools, coordinators and teaching staff is one of the fundamental pillars of this initiative, reflecting the commitment of CICAE schools to an education that goes beyond the classroom and champions the all-round development of students.

The Games are also supported by volunteers from the Centro de Estudios Profesionales CVE and UCJC Sports Club, whose involvement is key to running all the activities.

For the second year running, the CICAE Sports Games are also joining the Sports Against Childhood Cancer initiative, run by the Fundación Unoentrecienmil, adding a charitable and social awareness dimension to the event.
