IB Learning Communities Face-to-Face Conference: “Pedagogical innovation and leadership in the IB framework”.

On September 25 and 26 was held at the Alameda International School (Madrid), the Conference of the Learning Communities on the International Baccalaureate (IB), of the CICAE schools.

The meeting brought together nearly 100 teachers and IB coordinators from 31 schools throughout Spain, consolidating itself as a key space for collaboration. For two days, attendees shared experiences, strategies and best practices around the IB continuum (PYP, MYP and Diploma Program), in an environment of joint reflection and shared learning.

The day was inaugurated by the president of the association, José Antonio Rois, and its general director, Elena Cid, who thanked the host school for its hospitality and highlighted the record participation achieved. Rois stressed “the importance of these meetings, which allow our teachers to exchange experiences and grow together. The collaborative spirit of CICAE schools is what gives true value to these learning communities”.

Among the most outstanding presentations and sessions:

The meeting counted with the outstanding participation of Antonio Muñoz, an international IB reference, whose vision contributed great value to the analysis of the challenges faced by IB World Schools. His presence was a professional boost for all coordinators and teachers, reinforcing the objective of continuing to improve the implementation of the programs.

The day concluded with a round table discussion on the challenges of the continuum and the transition between programs, moderated by Antonio Muñoz himself, with the participation of Concep Muntada (SEK International Schools), Paloma Álvarez (Colegio Virgen de Europa) and César Prieto (Alameda International School).

This meeting served as a valuable space for learning and collaboration, reinforcing the common commitment to educational excellence and the development of IB in CICAE schools. An appointment that undoubtedly inspires to continue moving forward in accompanying young students for the challenges of the future.
