CICAE and the Junior Achievement Spain Foundation sign a collaboration agreement to promote entrepreneurship and financial education among the youngest members of society

Madrid, June 4, 2025 – CICAE, the Association of Private and Independent Schools, and the Junior Achievement Spain Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting entrepreneurial and financial education among students in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training.

CICAE’s CEO, Elena Cid, underlined the importance of this agreement: “At CICAE we believe in an education that goes beyond the traditional curriculum, connected to the real world and oriented to the development of key competencies for the future of our students: social commitment, entrepreneurship, creativity, decision-making or financial responsibility. With this agreement with Junior Achievement, we reinforce our commitment to comprehensive education, offering our centers experiences and tools that prepare students to successfully face the challenges of the 21st century”.

Lucía de Zavala, General Director of Fundación Junior Achievement España, believes that: “For Junior Achievement, this agreement represents a unique opportunity to improve the future expectations of thousands of students. Thanks to the collaboration with CICAE, together we want to promote the talent of its students, inspiring their entrepreneurial and innovative spirit and helping them to acquire the key skills that will accompany them in their working life. We are pleased to start a journey with CICAE that, we are sure, will be full of joys”.

A collaborative entrepreneurship project

The agreement establishes the development of a project to create an Entrepreneurship Club in the association’s educational centers, in which innovative educational programs will be implemented to help students acquire key competencies for their personal and professional development. This initiative is part of the strategy of both organizations to promote practical training linked to entrepreneurship in the classroom.

Thanks to this agreement, partner schools will have access to Junior Achievement’s proven programs in entrepreneurship and financial education, as well as online training for teachers and adapted teaching materials. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in experiences guided by mentors from the business world, which will enrich their learning and bring them closer to the reality of the labor market.

The entrepreneurship project, which will be designed and implemented collaboratively by CICAE and the Junior Achievement Foundation, will have the active participation of teachers of subjects such as computer science, economics or cross-cutting subjects. They will work in a coordinated manner to ensure the adaptation of the programs to the context and specific needs of each school.

With this collaboration, CICAE reinforces its commitment to educational innovation and the comprehensive preparation of students in its partner schools, while Junior Achievement advances its mission to inspire and prepare young people to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
