The Confederación de Organizaciones de Psicopedagogía y Orientación de España (COPOE) and the Asociación de Colegios Privados e Independientes – CICAE have signed a collaboration agreement with the purpose of cooperating in the achievement of their common objectives in relation to education in general and psychopedagogy and guidance in particular.
Ana Cobos, president of COPOE, believes that thanks to this alliance, both entities will collaborate in the organization and dissemination of events, meetings, seminars, courses, conferences, round tables, congresses and any other activities organized in pursuit of their common objectives: to highlight the importance of the work of the guidance counselor in the current educational system.
Mutual collaboration in the areas of training, exchange of resources, support for educational research and the publication of articles related to the professional work of guidance counselors and educational psychologists from both entities will be especially encouraged.

Elena Cid, General Director of CICAE, considers that it is “very important for CICAE this alliance with COPOE with whom we share the need to highlight and contribute to recognize the important work that guidance departments and guidance teams have in the educational field”.
The guidance departments of the educational centers of the Association collaborate with different initiatives such as CICAEOrienta, which was born, adds Elena Cid, “as a direct response to the needs of guidance counselors, to whom CICAE provides a networking network and now, thanks to this alliance, we can expand this network of exchange of resources and experiences in which, in a collaborative manner, we can undoubtedly improve guidance practices”.
In an increasingly complex and challenging society, the work of the guidance professional is essential to address not only the academic, but also the emotional, social and personal aspects of students, contributing to their integral formation and preparing them to face the challenges of today’s world.
