Entrepreneurship in the Classroom, Competition, and Proactivity: The Commitment of Schools with the MBA League

The idea of introducing financial management education and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset in classrooms is becoming increasingly widespread, ensuring that students are prepared from an early age for a future where proactivity will be key. MBA Kids has embraced this movement by developing initiatives such as workshops, camps, extracurricular activities, and competitions. One of the flagship initiatives in this category is the MBA League: The Entrepreneurship League, a free competition in which various schools from different provinces across Spain take part in an inspiring challenge to create the best business project.

Schools can choose to participate in different categories based on the students’ age group, from Year 3 of primary school to Year 13 of secondary education. They are provided with materials to guide them, along with the support of a teacher leading the team, to develop an innovative, surprising, and viable business project. However, what sets this competition apart is that the work does not stop at submitting a written project. All participants compete in a live event, where they must convince a panel of experts and investors that their project is worth investing in. Additionally, through the simulation of a trade fair with exhibition stands, they have the opportunity to promote their projects to all attendees. This is a family-friendly event that provides students with a hands-on experience of what it means to be an entrepreneur.

The competition was founded in Granada three years ago, but this year it has expanded to bring entrepreneurship into classrooms across Aragón, Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, La Rioja, Madrid, Seville, Tarragona, and Valencia. A total of 92 schools are taking part, benefiting over 2,000 students. Among the participating schools are several from our community of partners: Brains International School La Moraleja and Agora Madrid International School are competing in the MBA League Madrid; Colegio San José is taking part in the MBA League Málaga; Yago School is involved in the MBA League Seville, and Alauda International School is competing in the MBA League Córdoba. We are confident that they will set the bar high in this competition.

Moreover, the winners, along with all schools eager for a unique experience, will come together at La Nave in Madrid on 10 May to compete in the National Grand Final of the MBA League. This event goes beyond competition—it will offer training and entertainment for the whole family. Stay tuned, as we will soon reveal all the details of this transformative experience.
