The CICAE-UCJC Debate League<\/strong> is not just a competition. It is an educational<\/strong> project<\/strong> that helps students develop essential skills such as critical thinking<\/strong>, reasoning<\/strong>, active listening<\/strong>, and effective communication<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>

With the launch of the CICAE-UCJC School for Judges<\/strong>, CICAE takes another step forward in this educational journey<\/strong>, offering students and faculty an opportunity to continue growing within the world of academic debate<\/strong> once their time as debaters has come to an end.<\/span><\/p>

The School for Judges was created as a natural extension of the learning process<\/strong> that many students begin in debate tournaments. After years of developing public speaking<\/strong> and argumentation<\/strong> skills, participants can take the next step: learning to evaluate debates with discernment<\/strong>, rigor<\/strong>, and objectivity<\/strong>, thereby becoming accredited judges<\/strong> for the League. <\/span><\/p>

This initiative is essential for the future of the competition<\/strong>, as it helps create a stable pool of trained, committed judges who are familiar with the educational philosophy of debate<\/strong>. The School thus helps ensure the quality of the competitions and strengthen a learning community that extends beyond the tournaments themselves. <\/span><\/p>

In addition, the program offers practical<\/strong>, accredited<\/strong> training<\/strong> organized by CICAE and Camilo Jos\u00e9 Cela University, in collaboration with Train&Talk, which allows participants to join the official panel of judges for the CICAE-UCJC Debate League.<\/span><\/p>
