Colegio Europeo de Madrid

Colegio Europeo de Madrid is a multilingual school for 0-18 year olds located in Las Rozas with a Spanish curriculum and an International Baccalaureate 3-12 years PYP/PYP applicant. It works to develop the skills of each student and promote universal values with which to contribute, not only to their academic results, but also to their development as people prepared to thrive in a globalized world.

Pedagogical innovation is one of its pillars. Following the model of the Cognita educational group, to which it has belonged since 2018, it never ceases to implement projects to offer the best teaching-learning opportunities. Some of CEM’s innovative projects have received external recognition: Proyecto Ulises, Debate as a subject from 1st Primary (best project in the category of innovative educational practices of the Education and Freedom Awards of ACADE) or the Ítaca Project (selected among best projects in the Educational Innovation Awards of ACADE, within teaching practices), which seeks to encourage creative writing and a taste for reading. Together with Radio and Philosophy for children, CEM demonstrates its great commitment to the development of communication skills in both English and Spanish. CEM is a school of reference in Spain and other countries both for its own methodology and its technological trajectory, at the forefront with the founding of European Valley in 2016 as a technology laboratory.
